2012 Summary

Just wanna share some of the ways the Father blessed us during 2012:

Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority  [LMHA]

• Monthly activities for residents including Valentine’s Dinner, Halloween Party and Summer BBQ.

• School Shoe program saw 47 children receive 54 pairs of shoes, 157 pairs of socks and various clothing as needed via 14 families from eight different churches.

• Thanksgiving dinner for over 60 residents donated by 43 volunteers from 10 churches.

• 38 Thanksgiving boxed meals donated and distributed to residents.

• Christmas party with TGI Fridays employees organizing donation of gifts for 39 children.

• Established weekly after school tutoring program ongoing for 2012/13 school year.

• Overall had participation from 12 different local churches and other various volunteers.

Summer Lunch Program (4 weeks)

• Provided lunch for 41 children along with a variety of activities in LMHA complex.

• 43 adults and teens from six area churches participated.

• Organized partnerships and participation with Lake County YMCA, Lake County Health Commissioners office and Crossroads Early Childhood Center.

• Five local eateries were involved with providing discounted meals for the program.

• Over 850 meals provided.

Local Community

• Organized and led training of volunteer follow-up for Convoy of Hope event.

• Helped organize volunteer sites for Release Youth Mission week.

• Organized volunteer sites for Camp Burton Senior High Serve week.

• Helped organize volunteer sites for Willoughby Hills Friends Youth Explosion weekend.

• Helped to organize and plan Serve 2012 weekend with Christ Church in Strongsville.

• Organized and planned Faith in Action weekend with Unity in Northeast Ohio.

• Organizing and leading inmate driven discipleship within Grafton Men’s Correctional Institute.

• Served on leadership teams for NEO Convoy of Hope and Unity in Northeast Ohio.

• Launched two Discipleship Huddles to train leaders from 5 local churches in our process.

Catalyst Ministry

• Hired our first full-time employee in February of 2012.

• Hired part-time employee for 6 months and summer intern for 2 months.

• Launched new website.

• CPA retained for payroll, taxes and legal filings.

• Financial contributions received from 13 different individuals, churches and business (all unsolicited).
