pcls summer xp program
Painesville City Local Schools (PCLS) Summer XP Program is a hands-on approach to holistic summer learning being organized in tandem with PCLS's mobile summer lunch program, the Lunch Box. As this program is following the path of the Lunch Box it will occur at a different location each day of the week.
The Summer XP Program will have volunteer opportunities on week days from June 7th through July 31st. Each day of the program will last for 2 hours. Each volunteer will have an opportunity to work with small groups of students in chunks of 20 minute time periods as the students move from station to station and enjoy a free lunch. The stations will be as follows: math literacy, reading literacy, tabletop games and guest stations. Each of the math and reading stations will be overseen by certified PCLS staff members. As the Summer XP Program is being overseen by certified staff members and occurring outside a PCLS facility volunteers do not need to have background checks.

Volunteer Details:
- 2 hours a day
- Can signup for as many or as few days as desired
- Volunteers under age of 18 must be accompanied by a volunteer adult
- Free lunch will be provided for volunteers aged 18 and younger
- Can request to work at the station of your preference
- Background checks are not required
- Lake County General Health District guidelines will be in effect and followed
