Catalyst Ministry Stories from the Front
Each day we at CM wake up expecting God and His Kingdom to reveal Himself to us. Since January we have begun collecting these daily experiences in written form. These stories of God's love and providence are too powerful to keep to ourselves. Each month we will be taking this space to highlight one story.
Week of 4/28/13-5/4/13
(story occured on 4/28/13)
On Sunday evening, April 28th, at the Mentor Fine Arts Center, almost 2,000 folks from over 40 local churches came together to worship the One God.
Week of 4/21/13-4/27/13
(story occured on 4/24/13)
"And I realized my enemy wasn't God. It was actually the one I used to
call master [Satan]. And I don't think he loved me. Or even liked
me... Do me a favor, if you run into anyone from the church of satan tell them
-------- isn't on their team anymore." -former head of the church of satan, Cleveland; current inmate; new Jesus follower (and in a discipleship huddle)
"And I love those two questions: What is He sayin' and what am I doin'. Puts it all in our laps. We get to choose to grow. And that person of peace thing. Now I have something to help me when I'm talking to guys in the yard about Jesus!"
-inmate and current huddle leader

Week of 3/17/13-3/23-13
(story occured on 3/23/13)
During our MC Easter Party today one of the residents pulled me (Patrick) aside just to thank us for the prayer cards we make available. The resident then talked about how their mom had been struggling to receive disability support by the government. They had offered that on a prayer card during our last activity seeing prayer as a last resort. Within a month the paperwork had been processed and their mom received the medical care she required. The resident gave all the credit to God and the power of prayer saying their mom had been battling the paperwork for almost 11 years then almost instantly all was taken care of. Praise God!!
Week of 3/10/13 - 3/16/13
(story occured on 2/14/13)
Spent an hour in prayer with a dozen local leaders at our regular prayer meeting. Topic of local pastor’s suicide quickly dominated prayer. Prayer led to discussion on who was not around the table with us today and how can we begin intentionally seeking the relationships. All present agreed to begin compiling list of local leaders who may feel isolated/alone and together as a team begin implementing strategy of connecting with those names. Praying for Kingdom breakthrough and deep relationships of brotherhood to ensue.
While we were having the senior leader prayer time just found out my buddy had 14 local youth leaders in a similar prayer meeting. Spirit is building something special in our area.
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!
It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down upon the collar of his robes.
It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the LORD bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.
Ps 133
